1. Who we are
Ziiptrip Travel Agency (“Ziiptrip”, “we”, “us”) is a tour operator based in Nabadwip, West Bengal, India, running guided group tours across India. We are the data fiduciary responsible for the personal data described in this policy.
If you have a question or complaint about how we handle your information, write to us at Ziiptrip Travel Agency, Mathapur Road, Ramsitapara, Nabadwip, West Bengal 741302, India. E-mail ziiptrip@gmail.com, telephone +91 9641750695.
2. Information you give us
We collect the information you choose to send us, which typically includes:
- Your name, e-mail address and telephone number, when you use the enquiry form, e-mail us or message us on WhatsApp.
- Your enquiry itself — the subject and message, the tour you are interested in, your preferred departure date and the number of travellers.
- Details we need to make a booking on your behalf: the names, ages and contact details of everyone travelling, and identity or permit documents where a destination requires them.
Some of our destinations require documents by law. Arunachal Pradesh requires an Inner Line Permit for Indian citizens and a Protected Area Permit for foreign nationals; the Andaman Islands and certain areas of Jammu & Kashmir also require identity documents. Where a permit is needed we collect only what the issuing authority asks for, and we use it only to obtain that permit.
3. Information collected automatically
This website uses Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics. These set cookies and record information such as your IP address, approximate location, browser and device, the pages you visit and how you arrived. We use this only to understand how the site is used and to improve it.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s opt-out add-on. The site works without them; only the analytics stop.
4. Third-party services on this site
Some parts of the site are provided by other companies, and their own privacy policies apply when you interact with them:
- Google Maps — the map on our contact page is embedded from Google.
- Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics — website analytics.
- Featurable — displays our public Google Business Profile reviews. The reviews shown are written by reviewers on Google, not collected by us.
- WhatsApp — if you use our WhatsApp link, your message and number are handled under WhatsApp’s own terms.
We do not sell your personal information to anyone, and we do not use it for advertising profiles.
5. How we use your information
We use what you give us to answer your enquiry, prepare a quotation, make and manage your booking, obtain any permits your itinerary requires, contact you before and during your tour, meet our legal and accounting obligations, and — only if you have asked for it — tell you about future departures.
We rely on your consent when you contact us, on the performance of our contract with you once you book, and on our legal obligations for records we must keep.
6. Who we share it with
To deliver a tour we have to pass certain details to the suppliers who provide parts of it. Depending on your itinerary this may include hotels and camps, transport operators and drivers, railways and airlines, and the government departments that issue Inner Line or Protected Area Permits.
We share only what each of them needs, and we do not pass your information to anyone else except where the law requires it.
7. How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are kept only as long as we are still in touch with you about them. Booking records are kept for as long as our tax and accounting obligations under Indian law require, and are then deleted.
8. Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct anything inaccurate or incomplete, ask us to erase it where we are not required to keep it, and withdraw a consent you have given.
Write to ziiptrip@gmail.com and we will respond. If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
9. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you send us and limit access to it to the people who need it to arrange your travel. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed completely secure, so please do not send identity documents or payment details by ordinary e-mail unless we have asked you to.
10. Children
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children. Where children travel with you, we collect their details from the adult making the booking.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
